| Your child is afraid, but the only way to get over that fear is to "jump back into the saddle." He needs to go back to school and experience safety there. Make sure the teacher CAN prevent another episode of biting - have a serious talk with her. Then go with your child, maybe staying in the class the first time back. Then stay shorter periods over the next couple of days. Then let the child stay for a short while alone. Then increase the amount of time he is staying. Use the CLeaR Method to reinforce his success (see Raise Your Kids without Raising Your Voice or the CLeaR Method download on this site.) If he is too anxious for any of this, you might consult a professional. Also, you can give him Bach Flowers to remove his fearfulness and help him cope better - consult a practitioner for the correct mixture. Good luck, Sarah Chana
