| I think you should go for family counseling. Let a therapist tell your
wife in stronger terms than you can what she needs to do . This worked
well for my spouse who wasn't swearing at the kids but she was fighting
and arguing with them like a kid herself.and nothing I said ever helped
her do better. Then a therapist said pretty much the same thing I said
and "presto" - she was cured! It was aggravating that it happened this
way, but hey, at least she got better.

| I think you need to put your foot down. Give your wife a consequence that will really bother her. You can't stand by and watch your kids get abused like that. Tell her it just isn't acceptable to you. If necessary, you'll call Family Services to have them speak with her or mandate an anger management program or whatever. If you are firm about - like a parent has to be with a kid when the parent REALLY wants results - then your wife will get the message.
