My 16 year old daughter wants to attend a school in Switzerland for a year.  She cannot get out of bed on a regular school day to go to class at a school two blocks from our house.  I cannot help but feel that this would be a big mistake.  She is so irresponsible.  She is often late on her curfews (so she gets grounded for a week each time).  I am getting calls from the school that she sometimes skips class.  When confronted with this, she explains that she just lost track of time with her girlfriends. She says she thinks that going to school far far away will give her a sense of independance and that will help her be responsible for herself.  Any thoughts?
