| If he doesn't seem angry when he's breaking things, I wouldn't suspect "buried anger." Kids of that age can break things when they're mad - in fact, they may throw things or smash them on purpose when they are having a tantrum. If a child breaks things just by exploring them or playing with them, then they are probably a bit clumsy or perhaps very mechanically inclined (i.e. they want to take things apart to see how they work). However, I'm curious as to why you suspect buried anger. Is there something going on at home that your child should be angry about? If so, that needs to be addressed whether or not he is breaking things. Sarah Chana
