I have a 12-year-old daughter who has a boyfriend at school. She wants
to spend the day with her boyfriend at his grandparent\'s house while
they and his father are there. However, I do not know his parents (she
has only seen her boyfriend at school) and am telling her, because of
this reason and the fact she is only 12, no. However, she is balking
at the decision. To top it off, her father, who lives in another state
and is more liberal with his parenting, is telling her the decision is
up to me. In other words, he would let her go, and I end up looking
like the bad guy. Am I being too strict?
