| My son is in the fourth grade and when we moved to this area when he was in second grade, He was picked on everyday. The staff never really did much here. I got so upset that I just pulled him from school and started doing homeschool. My son is also very sensitive. My husband had always called him stupid, and now he is believing it. I am at my wits end.

First of all when a child is only 4 sometimes there really
is a problem at school that he can’t
quite explain or that the teachers haven’t caught on to so make you do
persevere with the teachers and ask again, again if you need to, to try and
find out is there something really going on, if you’ve been reassured many times that your
child is just sensitive or whatever is
happening is really minor then help your child by at least naming and
welcoming his feelings just say yes I
know that bothersome yes that is a problem start of that way by acknowledging
rather than discounting him and then give him a couple of tools like telling
him to tell the other kids to go away and leave me alone and to say that in a
pretty firm tone of voice because when a child stands up to bullying usually
the bullies go away.
