My 17 year old son stormed out of the house last week after an argument we had about summer jobs. I told him he needed to get one and he told me that what he did with his time was none of my business. It went downhill from there and as I said, he left the house. I expected he'd come back later but he didn't. In fact, he hasn't been back all week. I called his friends and they told me "he's safe" but he's not coming home. No one will tell me where he is. My husband is furious and says when the boy decides to come home, he's locking him out. I'm very confused. Are we supposed to just put up with this? He's going to be back because he needs us for lots of things - mostly to do with money. Should we welcome him back with open arms or slam the door in his face?
