If your kids can't do the homework alone, ask for a meeting with the teacher and/or school admin to find out why not. Tell them you want your kid to pass without you having to act as another teacher. Find out if other parents have the same issue - if a group of you complain, something might be accomplished.

If you can afford it - hire tutors. It's better for both you and your kids.

Maybe your parents didn't do it but the world has changed in the past 30 years so you have to get with the program. Either help your kid with his homework or watch him fall behind - it's your choice!

I don't understand this. My kids have homework but I never have to help them more than a couple of minutes. What kind of school makes the parents do the homework? Does the school know this is happening?
