My daughter, who will be 4 in August, has recently been taken out of the part time preschool we had her in. She is bright and inquisitive, so this was a difficult decision, but due to our financial situation we had no choice. My husband is looking for a job and home with her and our 17 mos old son, while I work full time. We take her to a gymnastics & dance class with other little girls once a week. We kept this up as it was already paid for and feel she needs as much social interaction with her peers as possible, considering she isn't getting this at preschool anymore. The issue is this: There are a number of girls in her dance class, but she follows one little girl around almost constantly. The other little girl doesn't usually seem to mind, but I don't know what to do for my little girl, who was once so independent and self assured. I feel this is most likely related to her recent withdrawal from preschool, but don't know how to help her. Any thoughts would be welcome.
