My eight-year-old daughter has a nice friend (nice 75% of the time) that lives down the street. The girls are also in the same class in school. I'm fine with the little girl playing in our yard, but my problem is when the girls start scheming for a playdate at the other little girl's house. I'm very uncomfortable with her home life and will not let my daughter go there. My original excuse was that I didn't know Taylor's mom, so Madeline couldn't go. Now the girls are bent on introducing us, although that continually falls through. I have no problem using, "Because I said so" but Madeline is looking for more of an answer and the issue just won't drop! I can't tell her the problems I have with Taylor's home because that would just be a disaster - that information would quickly be relayed.
Any ideas? Thank you so much!
