Nutrition is a relatively new parenting concern. Is margarine better than butter? Is soy milk preferable to cow's milk for kids? Can cow's milk cause ear infections? Should you buy organic or regular produce? Trans-fats, high glycemic index, pesticides, mercury poisoning, genetically modified foods - these are things our parents never had to think about when feeding us. They put food on the table and we ate. Today, however, the sheer quantity of dietary information - much of it conflicting and confusing - can make it difficult to know what choices are best for our family.
Here is where community comes in. Your experiences and insights can help others make sense of some of the information out there. If you have questions about what or how to feed your family, other parents have answers to share with you.
Want to know about food sensitivities? Ask away. Curious to find out what other moms make for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks? This is the place to ask. Picky eaters, problems breastfeeding, overweight children, underweight children, healthy recipes, gluten-free cooking, allergic kids, sugar addictions, first foods and fast foods - these are just some of the topics that you might want to discuss.
So go ahead and post your question or share your tips on family nutrition. We're eager to hear from you!
